Where do WaxAlert prices come from?
We look at publicly visible sold listings from major marketplaces, then group and average them by product and format. We also remove random outliers and/or unpaid auction data. Our goal is to share real, useable, free data.
How often are prices updated?
Prices are updated and refreshed in real-time.
Is the App on the App Store?
The application will be available in both the Google & Apples App Stores very soon. Iphone users can preload the app using the follow the install instructions.
Do you track individual card prices?
WaxAlert focuses on sealed box prices. We are exploring ways to share prices on singles.
Do you track both hobby and retail prices?
During our launch our focus is on Hobby and Jumbo boxes but all retail options will be added over time.
What is the Shop/Product Finder?
WaxAlert focuses on two major goals: helping collectors understand realistic market prices for sealed wax, and providing a shopping portal that shows every place you can buy a product in real time.
We’re actively working with Fanatics/Topps, Scheels, and additional major retailers in he near future to display what they have in stock, with instant links to purchase. We’re also in discussions with specialty shops to bring them into the Product Finder portal.
The goal is simple: instead of visiting dozens of websites, or overpaying from resellers, collectors can start with WaxAlert and quickly find available product at trustworthy prices, all in one place.
